Fruita Fat Tire Festival
May 6th - May 8th, 2022
Started in 1995 by Troy Rarick, co-founder of a fledgling mountain biking and rafting rental store in sleepy downtown Fruita, Colorado had an idea to build a place for people to ride mountain bikes that was not Moab, Utah (no offense Moab, we love you) The goal of that first festival was a simple one:….. to bring fun friends and MTB enthusiasts to the area, celebrate the sport we love and have a killer time in the process. Fast forward 27 yrs and Fruita is now a world-renowned MTB destination and that little store, Over the Edge Sports, has grown to additional locations and is planning for more awesomeness in the years to come. The FFTF has grown right along with it, now typically featuring 50+ vendors and nearly all the major bike MFG’s in the MTB industry. The goal of the FFTF is to be an amazing but intimate weekend experience to put you and MTB Bike and Industry Companies together. Buy a pass, demo all the bikes you can handle and decide if it’s time to upgrade or maybe realize that your old bike, the one you thought was perfect for you… still is! Knowledge is power, come expand your knowledge while participating in some of that still killer fun we mentioned earlier.
Mike the Headless Chicken Festival
June 3rd - June 4th, 2022
This festival is dedicated to the amazing story of one chicken’s will to live. Events such as a 5k run, disc golf tournament, wing and peep eating contests, live music, delicious food, and artisan booths make this a weekend to remember.
Food Truck Fridays
May 27th - September 9th 2022
Mobile food courts that rotate Friday locations in downtown Grand Junction, Fruita, and Palisade. Enjoy delicious food from multiple food vendors offering a wide variety of options all in one place, live local music, and family fun!
Movies Under the Stars
June 4th - August 13th 2021
“Movies Under the Stars” is the major fund raiser for the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department. On summer Fridays, hundreds load up their families and drive up from Grand Junction to Glade Park, CO, to cool off and eat at the grill (only open during the movie) and watch a FREE family movie under stars that are bright and plentiful. For locals it is a place to visit with neighbors, and show support for the Fire Department by volunteering to flip burgers and brats at the grill and concession stand.
Country Jam USA
June 23rd - June 25th 2022
Country Jam is one of the largest music festivals held in western Colorado and features four days of performances by country music‘s biggest stars!
Downtown Farmer's Market
June 23rd to September 8th 2022
From 5:30-8:30pm every Thursday, The Downtown Farmers’ Market is summertime’s signature event in Grand Junction, and is a showcase of farm products from the Western Slope and around Colorado. It's a summer-long community event series drawing an estimated 5,000 visitors per week.
Independence Day Parade
July 4 10:00am
Grand Junction’s own annual downtown parade will be held on Main Street and starts at 10am! Bring the kids and enjoy the parade fun while celebrating our country’s independence!
Mesa County Fair

The Mesa County Fair is held each July in Grand Junction, Colorado,
at the Mesa County Fairgrounds. Our events attract visitors from

Palisade Peach Festival
August 12th - August 13th 2022
The Palisade Peach Festival is one of the original agricultural festivals in Colorado honoring our rich bounty and history. It’s Peach Mania! Plenty of great food, entertainment, contests, activities for kids, and opportunities to explore Palisade via outdoor recreation.
Colorado Mountain Wine Fest

Take in all that Colorado Winefest has to offer from food and wine pairings, chocolate and wine tastings, educational seminars and more.
The “Festival in the Park” takes place and is the state’s largest and oldest wine festival featuring dozens of Colorado wineries, live music, a grape stomp, chef demonstrations & seminars!
Parade of Lights

The Parade of Lights features spectacular, never-before-seen floats, performing groups, local community groups and more! Each year seems to outdo the previous year! This event will sell out! The parade starts at Belknap and Throckmorton. Get ready to be dazzled!
